We are still renovating the cottage and we are trying
to create a wildlife garden which is not so easy in the Dalveen Pass.
So far in the last two years we have planted over two thousand trees and
indigenous shrubs and we are now trying to create the ponds. All this
is done by hand and hard work but it is the combination of this hard work
on the land and the cave-like ambience of the studio which is the backbone
of my art Hope you like it.
In
2007 I have continued with my professional artist career as can be seen
from my CV. I am particularly pleased with the recent publications in
the DGB Life magazine and The Scotsman. I have also been featured in a
new local magazine which is coming out in August called ‘Art and
Life’. As for the rest of the year I will be applying for membership
to the Paisley Institute which takes place in October and I will be entering
work for the RGI Open. Order of St Johns, Project Ability International
Exhibition and The Paisley Institute Drawing Exhibition Ongoing is my
work in the Ruby Orange art gallery with local exhibitions coming up at
The Stableyard Drumlanrig Castle, Moniaive Annual Exhibition and the Christmas
Exhibition at The Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkcudbright.
It is my intention to participate in as many local exhibitions as possible
which will include Spring Fling 2008 in order to further my career nationally
and internationally as a professional artist, regards Ed Slater. |
